Cozy communal lounge offered free snacks. the focaccia was the worst bread ever.

The room was beautifully decorated and super cozy. Loved the stylish touches, and the bathroom was a highlight with a lovely walk-in shower. The bed was comfy, and the coffee-making facilities were a nice bonus. Plus, the extra snacks in the lounge area were a great little perk. Just a heads-up, though, the internet was a bit slow, which caused some buffering while watching Netflix.

Our stay was fabulous! The cosy Traditional Double Room had all we needed, and the nearby pub was perfect for evening drinks. A lovely touch was the complimentary sloe gin in the room. We took our dog along, and it was a great base to explore the coast.

I just spent a lovely few days at The Chequers in Thornham. The room was a Traditional Double Room, cozy and well-decorated, with high-quality toiletries and thoughtful touches like complimentary sloe gin and cookies. I particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and large shower. The breakfast selection impressed me. I tried the smoked haddock and poached eggs, delicious! The staff were friendly, attentive, and very welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere throughout my stay. there were some downsides. I noticed the dining area could get quite busy, leading to delays in service during breakfast. only one side of the bed was accessible due to the room's size, making it a bit cramped for a longer stay. the location is perfect for exploring nearby walks, and I found the quiet vibe refreshing, but improvements in room layout and service speed would enhance the experience further.

Mate, the sourdough bread at The Chequers was a revelation! Plus, the newly renovated rooms had lovely touches like high-quality toiletries and a decent selection of teas. Also enjoyed the snacks and drinks available downstairs.
